The Bulldogs will welcome the No. 2 and 3 water polo teams in the nation respectively when they take on California and Stanford on Saturday and Sunday at the Clovis Olympic Swim Complex at Clovis West High School Saturday's match with Cal is scheduled for 2 p.m. while Sunday's skirmish with Stanford is set to Stan at 1 p.m. No. 2 California is the defending ' NCAA champion, which featured none other than Olympic hero Matt Biondi as one of its stirs. Biondi is now gone, but Cal has a lot of talent coming back, led by Kirk Everist and goalie Jeff Brush. No. 3 Stanford has at least one player who will be familiar with the Clovis West pool. That would be two-time All- Amcrican Todd Kemp, who also starred at Clovis West in his prep years. * In fact, both Cal and Stanford have several players who are acquainted with the- Fresno area. Cal has five local pro¬ ducts en its roster while Stanford has three in addilion to Kemp. FSU coach Harold Zane is well aware of what-lies ahead for his team. "Cal and Stanford arc consistently good teams," said Zane. "Well have to prepare our¬ selves for their intensity." The Bulldogs, 7-8 on the season, are coming off of a split of four games in the Northern California Invitational last week¬ end. FSU beat UC Santa Barbara and Cal State LA but lost to UCLA in the first game and lost to Pacific in sudden death. STUDENTS WITH FLYING COLORS.
