Tuesday, Sept 27 **& person reported his bike stolen from Lot G. • A student was injured dur¬ ing an intramural flag football game The person was transported "A report was filed of an un-. known subject that punched a window in GravesHall. The win¬ dow is broken and willbe reported for repair. • A person was arrested, cited and released for driving without a valid driver's license., • A person was arrested for out¬ standing warrants totaling $33,000. The person was transported to Fresno County jail. The vehicle was towed. • A person was arrested for be¬ ing under the influence of a con¬ trolled substance. Wednesday, Sept 28 • A non-injury traffic accident occured in Lot J. • A person reported the theft of a bike from the dorm area. The inci¬ dent occured a day prior. • A person reported an injury 2fter falling in a construction trench in Lot C. • A person reported a bike theft from the area near East Engineer¬ ing- • A person was arrested, cited and released for driving without a valid license. The vehicle was towed. • A person was arrested and transported to Fresno County Jail for driving under the influence of . alcoholvThe vehicleArns towed. • A person was arrested, cited and released for driving with a suspended /revoked license. The vehicle was towed. Thursday, Sept 29 . • A victim stated that his room¬ mate stole his checkbook, forged his name and cashed checks. • A person reported his bike was stolen from Birch Hall bike racks. • A person reported that a ve¬ hicle was stolen while in Lot O. • A person reported mat a ve- i hide was broken into while parked inLotC. Required Reading and Other Dangerous Subjects Amy Tan is author of the best-selling novel The Joy Luck Club (1989) which became the longest-running bestseller on the New York Times hard cover bestseller list in 1989. Translated into nineteen languages including Chinese. The Joy Luck Club was adapted to a screenplay, produced by Oliver Stone and released nationwide in late 1993. Her second book, The Kitchen God's Wife (1991), was again a number one bestseller on the New York Times hard cover list while appearing on the Canadian, British, Australian, Danish, Spanish, Norwegian, and German bestseller lists. Ms. Tan received a B.A. with a double major in English and Linguistics from San Jose State University, as well as a M.A. in Linguistics from UC Santa Cruz and UC Berkely.
