By the end of .the film there are only two people left stand- The movie isn't bad if you ^g, any guesses? Yes, it all boils understand Raimi's style. He down to Ellen and Harod.Harod r. It's $1 to get in on Thurs¬ day nights, but they give you a ticket that you can apply to¬ ward your purchase.. Not a bad. deal. They do that to.keep the rave children from hanging out there. Well, I'm glad we got that figured out. It was requir¬ ing the moSt of my math skills. Next Thursday at Cafe Inter¬ mezzo is Good Medicine. Our old favorite Nate But¬ ler brings his version of The Beatles back to Club Fred Friday night for their second anniver¬ sary show, and rockers East Side Indians play there Saturday night. Another cool'downtown venue is back in business after a more-than:five-year hiatus. The Warnors Star Palace, adjoining the Warnors Theatre is pTrtting on shows again. In the late 80's the Star Palace was the hot spot for alternative and punk rock. Bands like Wire Train, Toy Dolls and all the local bands played there. Although there won't be punk shows anymore, you cang< and see the Led Zeppelin tribute band, Houses of the Holy, tomorrow night. Jimmy, Robert, John,'and the dead Bonzb all jamming again. And the train kept a-rollin'. Worried about procreation?. Planned Parenthood will be hanging out at Ragin' Records in the Tower District this Saturday from 4:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. If you're looking for something to do, you could show up, buy some used Barry White CDs and pick a ' contraceptive thafs right for you. The image of Sharon^ Hackman's character reaches the Stone in tight leather pants, middle of tiSe saloon. He then drinking whiskey from a dirty glass and twirling a gun on her finger as she shoots bad guys from 10 paces just crept into my mind>The thought of going-on with that image is too much to bare. pans up and aits toa tight shot of Hackmen's face. Then he quickly cuts to a close-Lip of Stone, who is looking really vi¬ cious at this point. Here's the breakdown. Ellen (Stone) isagTunslinger in leather and Ellerv The good and the bad. ; The woman and the man. An¬ other- debate between the battle of the sexes ensues, only this time audiences get to see who the winner is. ^* The loser of course gets a buffet hole through the middle of the head the size of Sharon Stone's... gun. ' Speaking of sex, there is none in this film which is un¬ usual for a film staring Stone. But damil> I'm proud of her. She kept her clothes on, legs crossed and breasts covered. Maybe she's, headed for_ Hollywood greatness. Or the cover of Play¬ boy. .
