"[I sued the NEA 1 not because my work contained anything that could be construed as obscene," Lewitzky said, "but because I felt that this provision infringed on First Amendment rights." Born in East L.A., March 26 Stand-up comedian Paul Rodriguez will perform and discuss his career as an actor, producer and national spokesperson. Rodriguez, co-star of several movies including "Quicksilver" and "Made in America," has raised over a quarter of a million dollars over the last year for the National Hispanic Scholarship Fund and contributes to many other charitable organizations. The Briefing, April 16 Marlin Fitzwater, a veteran of three national presidential cam¬ paigns and two administrations, will discuss his career as press sec¬ retary to Presidents Reagan and Bush. Fitzwater, a Kansas native, will also lecture on the adversarial rela¬ tionship between the government and the press.
