Jan. 16. His death is deeply felt by all who knew him. as well as by a nation that followed his grouwth through the work of his father, the internationally renowned entertainer Bill Cosby. Cosby's most remembered public response to the tragedy of his only son was the simple and powerful statement "He was my hero." Ennis was changing a tire on art isolated stretch of road near the 405 freeway in the Los Angeles area. He allegedly phoned a female friend to come out and help him before he began work on the tire This woman discovered the body, and is now the chief witness in the ongoing murder investigation. A composite sketch has been released of a man she claimed was at the scene, and two potential suspects have since been questioned. No solid leads have appeared as of yet. The official opinion of the LAPD at this time_i$ that it was a random crime with a possible robbery motive. Police arc sifting througluhe avalanche of calls resulting from the release of the sketch and crime scene information. They are also investigating the tire, his cellular phone records, on-site evidence, and anything else that could shed light on how and why the shooting occurred.
