SHAKON FISH Collegian Staff Writer Wives of Fresno State foot bn II players find the season full of excitement and activity. Instead ot feeling loneliness and neglect when their husbands forsake them for the gridiron. the girls rally forth spirited par¬ ticipation and a. growing interest for the fall sport. "This Is Ihe best lime ot the year for us!" is a sentiment ech¬ oed by ihe wives of three FSC varsity football players who are willing to share their husbands with platoons of Coach Cece Cole- llonnie lljunti, wife of Jan Barrett, most valuable lineman In last year's Merry Howl, until, "It's kind of a letdown wheat tlie sennon encla. Fresno State will be trying to win their 13th game of ihe series In which the San Jose griddors have come out on top 15 times. There have been thrc tie*. FSC has won the last two games. 27-11 and 36-27. In 1359 the Spartans clobbered the Bull¬ dogs. 40-14. and the year before lhat San Jose State racked up the biggest score ever between the two schools, 18-6.
