The high-powered South Da¬ kota State Jack rabbits will play the winner of tho Wlttenburg- Southern Illinois University Kama tonight. In the quarterfinal round of the small college NCAA tourna¬ ment being held In Roberts Mu¬ nicipal Gymnasium In Evansville. Lose Easy Lead The Bulldogs battled to a 39-37 advantage at halftlme. but turned cold turkey ln the second halt while the Jack rabbit! continued their high scoring pace, set by guard Wayne Rasmussen. who finished the game with 30 points, 18 or those coming ln the second half. Forward Tom Black supported Rasmussen with 17 points. For¬ wards Tony Burr and Tom Jacob- sen had 14 each for Fresno State. Maurice Talbot scored 12 points, below his usual pace, but hauled down 14 rebounds. Black of South Dakota cleared 20 rebounds. 'Fmno Tennis Hopes Rise Despite Loss Hy BOH wiiii.K'K Coach Harry Miller's hopes for an Improved Fresno State College tennis team are somewhat higher after a 5-3 opening match loss to a powerful Fresno City College The Bulldogs will try to avenge that loss Tuesday when they play Fresno City College on the FSC courts. They were scheduled to start California Collegiate Athletic Association action last Tuesday against Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo. The Bulldogs split the six singles matches In last week's match with Bruce Wlshard, Mike McNally, and Dennis SImonlan contributing points but lost both doubles matches played.
