Oct. 13,1983 Debbie Lewis connects for a spike last week against San Jose State University. The 5-8 Bulldogs lost to 12th-ranked Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo Tuesday night. The Bulldogs are 3-0 in Pacific Soccer Conference games and 8-5 overall. Bulldog forward Mark Masich booted his third game-winning goal of the sea¬ son — a straightaway 12-yard shot at 48:02 — to break a 1-1 first-half tie and light a fire under his team's offense. How much of a problem is scheduling big A: Well, that is part of the problem. but 1 think, we have to worry about over- scheduling. Since I've been here I've added games with five Pac-10 teams. working on two mot it to over-schedule oi Q: Can Bulldog fans expect lo see a UCLA basketball team or a USC foot¬ ball team on the schedule? f\l I dont know. 1 think that when you talk about the USC football team, your' e talking about a team that aver¬ ages 60,000 fans a game.
