"The key is that we beat Arizona and UOP." Led by Curtis Jones, with a 76-75-72 round of scores for a 223 total, Fresno State overcame wind, rain, and generally miserable playing conditions over the weekend to tie with Stanford for ninth place in the Arizona State Sun Devil Intercollegiate in Scottsdale, Arizona. Arizona State won the tournament, while UOP placed 13th and Arizona 14th. "The kind of things the committee looks for is who beat who how many times," said Watney.
