—THE DAILY Tuesday. October 3. 1967 No Joy In Mudville The Fresno State eleven was out to win that night; Even though the odds were against them and Mayor Hyde. Nearly 8,000 fans showed up to witness the great upset; And almost all were hoping the Bobcats would get decked. With only moments gone the Bulldogs led the score; And all the fans joined ln a tumultuous uproar. But sooner than expected Montana came to bat; And throughout the entire game led the ground attack. At the festive half the score stood 21 to 6; Placing Darryl Rogers ln a hell-a-va fla. "Now listen here,* he told his men, "Your defense Is falling apart;' •You'd better get on the ball and take my words to heart." Meanwhile, the FSC band had marched onto the field; And was assisted by a majorette with less appeal. Introduced as the "Seductress of the baton' before Third quarter action got under way with no appreciable gains by either team; It looked as if the Bobcats would no doubt relgh supreme. Then.wlth their backs to the dust-laden wind, The big red and blue began to move again. With twelve minutes to go Robinson led the fight; The band Is playing and somewhere hearts are light. Flores followed suit and suddenly It was a ball game; The score now stood 21 to 20 and only seconds remained. The crowd stood and watched the final seconds go by; They questioned the coach, "Would he go for a tie?" The mighty eleven lined up for a conversion play; The spectators all bowed their heads and prayed. Push-Cart 'Derby' To Roll Friday Fraternities, sororities and Independent groups are busy put¬ ting final touches on their push carts and getting their legs ln shape for Friday's push cart relays, sponsored by Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity. The Judging of the carts will begin at noon Friday with the relays to follow. A genealogist, expert ln tracing family histories, pompey Is the former chairman of the Western United States Study Group of the Southern California Genealogical Society. In 1966, he was chosen Man of the Year of the Kern County Genealogical Society. He has written two genealogy "The Moses Spratt Framlly of Platte County, Missouri."
