Many organliations publish papers which pertain to the interests of that group alone, but a college paper serves many purpose* which are not like any other organ. It gives news to all in the college, student* and faculty, and forms a bond between them. It gives a student the privilege of expressing his own opinions, and of trying out his journalistic ability; and last, but very important, it advertises the college. From the columns of the paper the student Icarna about activities with which he does not coma personally in contact. TTie feet that news from other colleges is given also widens the outlook of the students. This end of giving the student news and new ideas is the greatest work of the paper. In a paper of thi" kind there is not the coloring of a daily newspaper. The facts alone are given and the student is left to draw his own conclusions. A bond of good feeling is built, up around the student* by the absence of his representation and propagantla of student issues. If the students co-operate with each other and the faculty, there will develop a spirit of loyalty. The beet way for the members of a college to get together is through a common medium, this paper. The student* or faculty must not hesitate to apeak In the i-olunuia. They must feel the need of thi* ei- preation; it will do wonder* for the paper and the school. Another phase of the paper is the technical training afforded the members ot the staff.
