The Collegian Poll this week asked Fresno State College students: •Should women be drafted Into the armed services?" Martin D. Kilgore, senior chemistry major: "Martha Mitchell, Mrs. Agnew, Pat Nixon, Golda Meier, Mrs. Rogers and Shirley Temple - yes.* Carmen Dorsey, senior music major: "Women should serve, but on a voluntary basis. If they are drafted, they shouldn't have to bear arms. There The FresnoState College Campus Planning Committee and the ExecuUve Dean's Office have announced plans to eUmlnate the (raffle hazard on North Maple The hazard, has been caused by the rush hour backlog of cars stopped for temporary parking stickers at the dispenser just north of Shaw Avenue. Dr. Frank Goishi, FSC's Build ing Coordinator, aaid the present ticket dispenser will be moved further north on Maple and away from Shaw, and a second dispenser will be Installed ln the parking lot south ot the New AdmlnlstraUon Building. The new dispenser will be placed on the south side of the lot at a point near Shaw Avenue. Persons normally using that parking lot will be able to pull into the lot to get their tickets before parking and will not stack up along Maple. Persons using other lots on campus will be able to stop on Maple before proceeding. Goishi said that the changes should be completed by today. In another development, Goishi said the 1,570-car parking lot now under construction Just east of the New. Sean Morra, senior English major: "I'm even against drafting men. The way the draft operates now ls unfair. It's unfair because It hits at a very difficult time, such as when a boy is going to school. A lot of changes should be made." Fred Perry, junior drama major: "Women should be drafted If they're that willing. It's their country too, and If they're hung up on defending It, they should not only have the same duUes as n jn, but the right to do It.* , Shelley Petersen, junior home economics major: ■Women should have the same opportunity as men to serve their country If they want It. I don't ' believe ln the draft, but If men are drafted, then women should be dratted too." Would you believe there is a guy in Sacramento who listens to students?
