With second place UC-Irvine. 72-69 win over Fullerton State Saturday night, the Bulldogs ended the season in third place in the PCA A. Here's a quick glance at how Fresno State's post season schedule now shapes up: •Thursday, the Bulldogs will take on Fullerton State in the opening round of the PCAA Tournament at 9:00 p.m. This is the only team in the PCAA to hold a cumulative points over Fresno State. Fullerton State won the first meeting, 63-57, in Irvine and the Bulldogs won the second game, 65-56. in Fresno. • If the Bulldogs do manage to get by Fullerton, they will have a revenge-minded UNLV team to contend with in the semi-finals Friday night. Fresno State blew out the Rebels the last time they met, 68-43 in Fresno. Since that time UNLV has stumbled to one narrow win and two losses. •Another if. If a win over UNLV becomes a reality, the Bulldogs will advance to the finals on Saturday and most likely face UC-Irvine. which has beaten UNLV and Fullerton' State in succession during the past week. • Even if the Bulldogs do not win the tournament, an invitation to the NCCA playoffs is still a possibility. The Bulldogs* 22-7 season record is currently the fourth best on the west coast, with UNLV (25-4), Washington (20-6). and Oregon State (20- 6) holding down the top spots. With 11:30 left in the first half, Barnes ferociously followed up a Ron Anderson jump shot with a dunk to pull the Bulldogs up 15-14. After a basket by 49er Craig Lack, Fresno State reeled off nine consecutive points in the next six minutes of play to jump out to a 28-18 lead. Undaunted. Softball team loses 3 of 4 to Bears, Titans
By G .org• Loawsn

The Fresno State softball team needs to
win both games tomorrow against Cal
Poly, San Luis Obispo to get back on the
winning track after dropping three out of
four games this past weekend to California and Fullerton State.
Barbara Cambria no-hit Cal 3-0 in the
first game Saturday, but the Bulldogs lost
to the Golden Bears in the second game,

Live dance music at its finest
time, that spelled the endfor tbe 49ers. By
halftime the Bulldogs were up 34-29, and
within the first five minutes of the second
half, they were up 45-32.
With second place UC-Irvine. 72-69
win over Fullerton State Saturday night,
the Bulldogs ended the season in third
place in the PCA A. Here's a quick glance
at how Fresno State's post season schedule now shapes up:
•Thursday, the Bulldogs will take on
Fullerton State in the opening round of
the PCAA Tournament at 9:00 p.m. This
is the only team in the PCAA to hold a
cumulative points over Fresno State.
Fullerton State won the first meeting, 63-57, in Irvine and the Bulldogs won
the second game, 65-56. in Fresno.
• If the Bulldogs do manage to get by
Fullerton, they will have a revenge-minded UNLV team to contend with in the
semi-finals Friday night. Fresno State
blew out the Rebels the last time they met,
68-43 in Fresno. Since that time UNLV
has stumbled to one narrow win and two
losses.
•Another if. If a win over UNLV
becomes a reality, the Bulldogs will
advance to the finals on Saturday and
most likely face UC-Irvine. which has
beaten UNLV and Fullerton' State in
succession during the past week.
• Even if the Bulldogs do not win the
tournament, an invitation to the NCCA
playoffs is still a possibility. The Bulldogs*
22-7 season record is currently the fourth
best on the west coast, with UNLV (25-4),
Washington (20-6). and Oregon State (20-
6) holding down the top spots. All told;
very few people in Fresno want Fresno
State to win another NIT chamionship.
