Although now Niebuhr and Zimmerman are Fresno Stale Bulldogs, since their transfer from Cowboy country, the pair's cornpetiveness for anything and everything remains as enthusiastic as their Siillwater days. Maybe more. Together, the back-to-back wrestling combination at 158 and 167 pounds, respectively, have racked up 41 wins. Niebuhr, a senior out of Madison, Wisconsin, sports a 22-4-2 slate, while Zimmerman has racked up a 19-5-3 mark. Zimmerman will take a nine-match winning streak into tonight's dual match with Pac-10 Conference rival CS BakersfiekJ, scheduled for 7:30 pjn. in the FSU North Gym. ' The sirnmerin' Zimmerman kept his winning streak alive Tuesday night in the Bulldogs' 25-14 triumph over Stanford in Palo Alto. Zimmerman defeated Stanford's Marx Topham with a 21-6, technical fall victory. He is 13-2-3 as a dual wrestler with four whniryi falls. One of his two dual meet defeats came from No. 2 ranked Dan St. John of Arizona Stale, a 7-3 setback Nov. 25. Although he is doing pretty good statistically, Zimmerman, who will turn 22 in April, says he does not look at all his stats with the exception of one "stat". "The only star I think about is when an opponent has taken me to my back," Zimmerman ssid "1 think getting turned is what I mainly focus on."
