Manage¬ ment has also assured Fresno fire officials that any other employees caught allowing overcrowding would be fired as well. This assures us that they know we're serious," Downs said. Nevertheless, the probation stands to have little effect for CSUF students who enjoy frequenting the establish¬ ment "Wiliker's has not discontinued dancing, we've never discontinued dancing and yet we're still receiving phone calls asking why we don't have dancing anymore,* said Iramel. "I'd Just like to stress that we still have dancing." Assistant Manager Tracy Lujan agreed about the Impact to students. "The only thing I can see happening Is that the students may have to wait In line outside for a little longer. " he said. "Butother than that notmuch will have changed.* CSUF senior Barry Jenkln said he does not see a need to reduce the number of customers in Wiliker's. "The dance area in there has a lot of room." Jenkln said, "and IVe never been In there when it was danger¬ ously overcrowded." However, another laithful Wiliker's customer, senior Peter Hutchinson. says he thinks overcrowding has been a problem there for some time. "I've been in there at times when the only way to get through was to Just elbow your way through." he said. Provided no violations are discov¬ ered during the probation period. Downs said Wiliker's space problem may be resolved through a petition currently being considered which would allow more people to dance after employees have cleared several ofthe restuarant's tables and chairs for the evening.
