Cindermen Slowed By Wet Weather Frustration was the key word for this season's Fresno State College track team. The Bulldogs suffered greatly from the unusually heavy early season rainfall. In all, FSC had four meets cancelled by the wet weather. Fresno started the campaign slowly, dropping its first two meets. The Dogs found the winning combination with a heart-stopping narrow win over Cal Poly at San Luis Obispo, but then fell to San Jose State and Occidental. Fresno put on its finest showing in the last meet of the year, placing second to Los Angeles State while beating Long Beach in a three-way contest. FSC competed in the Mt. SAC Relays and famed West Coast Relays, where Bulldog competitors turned in their best performances. TRACK 231
