Special Jaciul Special trains, with all their excitement, noise and fun, managed to hold Fresno State in their grip again during the past year, when, the Rally Committee sponsored one to the traditional "Big Little Game" at Stockton, and another, unsponsored and unauthorized by the college, was run to the University of Nevada game at Reno. On the Stockton train, some of the students walked to the game, via the hard way . . . that of pacing the length of the cars many times. More fun could be had by sitting still and playing poker some thought, while others preferred to sit in a corner with a "good book" or better, yet, with a nice girl or boy. The second train, run to Reno, attracted many of the more affluent students, and those who didn't mind having cuts in their classes. Along with the students was a more than liberal sprinkling of the D.T.B.M.'s, or the well- known "Down Town Business Men". On both trips, all managed to have a good time, and relatively few were the stories told of friends sneaked under seats so they wouldn't have to pay fare, the light globes taken from the sockets in order to make the dark more interesting, and the rivers of liquid refreshment which helped while away many of the hours en route and returning. Needless to say, students look forward with great anticipation each year to the Special Train . . . classes are forgotten and so are lots of inhibitions.
