USlC " In addition to conducting all the annual musical activities of past years, the Music Department, headed by Arthur G. Wahlberg, this year added a number of events for service men and tuned its program to the war theme. The annual events such as the presentation of the Messiah, four Fresno Symphony Orchestra concerts, the Carol Service Assembly just before Christmas, the Music Festival, the Men's Glee Club spring concert, the A Cappella Choir concert and the Women's Chorus concert were supplemented by the appearance of the Charm Chorus at the dedication of the Lemoore Air Base, and the inclusion of several Air Corps men in the Symphony Orchestra, which is led by Arthur C. Berdahl. The Music Department also played a strong part in this year's Spring Swing production, "You're Telling Me." Miss Lyllis Lundkvist directed the Charm Chorus and Verne Delaney the Men's Chorus. 100
