Horticulture Club Plays Host The Horticulture Club and the Fowler High School FFA chapter co-sponsored a fruit tree pruning contest. In addition, high school vocational agriculture instructors with their pruning teams were guests of the plant science department at an ornamental horticulture workshop featuring a rose pruning demonstration. Over 100 high school students competed in the pruning events. Madera High School won the overall championship and the Sun Maid Raisin perpetual trophy. \ \ JIM PRINCE, Parlier High School ag major, competes in the Future Farmers of America fruit tree pruning contest held on the FSC campus on January 13. £H%m%\ Mike J.
